Lahore’s air quality has worsened significantly as the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) surpassed the hazardous threshold for the first time in nearly three weeks. Experts have warned that residents may face breathing difficulties, allergies, and other health issues.
According to the Meteorological Department, the primary causes of the pollution include smog, heavy traffic congestion, and industrial emissions. Authorities have urged citizens to take precautions, wear masks, and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.
Environmental organizations have called on the government to take immediate action to control the rising pollution levels.
