The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has stated that the Kurram peace jirga is not yet concluded, and the parties involved need more time for consultations. According to the government, the aim of this jirga is to establish peace and stability in the Kurram Agency, and all parties have agreed that additional time is necessary to complete the negotiation process.
A spokesperson for the KP government said that all participants in the jirga emphasized that the consultation process should be deeper and more comprehensive to effectively resolve any future conflicts.
Officials mentioned that the presence of various tribal and regional leaders in the jirga is a positive step, and more time is required to ensure the success of the dialogue process. In the meantime, efforts are being made to raise awareness among the public about the importance of peace and provide information about the government’s actions.
