The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has proposed amendments to the 2006 Baggage Rules, allowing confiscation of goods valued over $1200 from international travelers. Items imported for commercial purposes, regardless of duty and fines paid, will not be released. Public objections or suggestions on these amendments can be submitted within seven days of the notice’s publication.
