Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume direct flights to European cities starting in January 2025. This decision follows the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifting the ban that had been in place since 2020 due to concerns about safety regulations following a tragic crash. The first flight will depart from Islamabad to Paris, with plans to expand the service to other European cities. The resumption comes after PIA’s improvements in pilot licensing and safety compliance, which had previously cost the airline significant revenue loss.
