Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has called for justice after spending one and a half years in jail. Speaking informally at an anti-terrorism court in Lahore, he demanded accountability, stating, “Punish me if I’m guilty, but grant relief if innocent.”
Qureshi emphasized the need for dialogue between the government and PTI to resolve political issues. He also demanded a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9, 2023.
He appealed for relief for detained PTI leaders, including Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Ijaz Chaudhry, while urging the government to create a conducive environment for negotiations.
