Islamabad: Supreme Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has recommended halting the Judicial Commission of Pakistan’s (JCP) meeting until pending cases regarding constitutional amendments are resolved. In a letter to the Chief Justice, he questioned the legitimacy of the commission under the 26th Amendment.
Justice Mansoor expressed concerns that actions by the commission might become invalid if the amendment is struck down, potentially undermining public trust in the judiciary.
