Dallas Texas: A grand celebration of Sindh Cultural Day took place during the spectacular concert of Pakistan’s renowned folk singer Naseebo Lal in Dallas, organized by Hiba Entertainment. On this occasion, prominent journalist and Board Member of South Asia Democracy Watch, Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada, presented the symbolic Sindhi cultural gift of “Ajraks” to singer Naseebo Lal, national promoters Rehan Siddiqui, and Nasir Siddiqui, and other artists. Accompanying him at the event was prominent businessman Ghulam Nabi Kalwar, while the event was hosted by Naheed Raheel.
In his speech, Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada raised slogans of “Jeay Sindh” and “Jeay Pakistan” and congratulated all attendees on Sindh Cultural Day. He expressed gratitude to the event organizers, particularly Nasser Siddiqui, the driving force behind Hiba Entertainment, and their spokesperson Kamal Siddiqui, for providing the opportunity to highlight Sindhi culture during the concert.
Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada stated that prominent promoter Rehan Siddiqui, based in the United States, plays a crucial role in promoting Pakistan’s culture by bringing artists and singers from various regions of Pakistan to the U.S. He emphasized that such initiatives are essential for helping Pakistani expatriates preserve their cultural identity for future generations and described these efforts as highly commendable.
During the event, singer Naseebo Lal performed her popular Sindhi song, “Sindh Mein Ohan Ja Laga, Khoob Nara Qalandar Pyara,” earning resounding applause from the audience. Her performance throughout the concert captivated attendees and brought them to their feet.
In an exclusive conversation with Geo News, Naseebo Lal expressed her joy at celebrating Sindh Cultural Day during the concert. She remarked, “Sindh is a cultural treasure of Pakistan, and I take pride in having sung many songs in Sindhi. The love and support from today’s audience is an honor for me.” She further praised Pakistani promoters for their significant role in promoting Pakistani culture in the United States. “These are the people who bring us here and connect us with audiences; otherwise, such opportunities would not be possible,” she said. Naseebo Lal added that she has more shows scheduled in the U.S. and is deeply touched by the warmth and hospitality she has received.
When asked about the audience staying until the very end of the show, she replied, “It’s all because of their love and kindness. I am deeply thankful to my listeners who came from far away to attend my performance.”
Among those present at the event was Chaudhry Anwar, a member of Naseebo Lal’s team who had traveled from London. He also expressed his joy at being part of such a remarkable program.
This concert in Dallas was not only a musical event but also a beautiful occasion to showcase Pakistani culture on a global stage, leaving attendees with a sense of pride and happiness.
