Canadian singer Bryan Adams is gearing up to bring his ‘So Happy It Hurts’ world tour to India, and he’s eager to make more lasting memories in the country. Reflecting on past visits, Bryan shared his cherished experiences, including a memorable backstage meeting with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and enjoying a simple yet flavorful meal of daal chawal.
In an interview, Bryan fondly recalled his encounter with Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family, describing their conversation about music and life as a standout moment. “Meeting Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family backstage was an unforgettable experience. We had a wonderful chat about music and life. And yes, I did indulge in Indian food—I absolutely love daal,” he said with a smile.
Bryan also expressed his admiration for Indian music, especially Punjabi rappers and composer Pritam. “I’ve had fascinating conversations with Punjabi rappers, and I admire Pritam’s work,” Bryan shared. “The idea of blending rock with Indian music excites me, and it’s a fusion that has immense potential.”
Regarding his upcoming tour, Bryan has tailored his setlist to match the unique energy of each city. “Each performance is fresh and aligns with the crowd’s vibe,” he explained. Bryan also noted the growing concert culture in India, where more diverse and enthusiastic crowds are coming together for live music.
The ‘So Happy It Hurts’ tour will kick off in Shillong on December 10, followed by performances in Gurugram (December 12), Mumbai (December 13), Bengaluru (December 14), and will conclude in Hyderabad on December 16. Known for his timeless hits like “Summer of ‘69,” “Everything I Do I Do It For You,” and “Please Forgive Me,” Bryan will arrive in India a few days before the tour begins for technical rehearsals with his dedicated crew of 50 members.
The crew will also be traveling with more than 10,000 kg of equipment, which will be transported via a chartered plane. Along with the music, Bryan is looking forward to immersing himself in India’s rich culture and heritage, making his tour not just about the performances but also about connecting with the country on a deeper level.
