Islamabad: Arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi Amid Protest Unrest
During an ongoing operation in Islamabad, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi were taken into custody while traveling in a small Suzuki van. According to reports, law enforcement agencies arrested them after thorough monitoring.
The situation worsened during PTI’s protest as the container prepared for central leadership was set on fire. Arrests of PTI protesters by Rangers in Islamabad are ongoing, while D-Chowk has been left desolate as protesters have scattered.
Further details reveal that Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi attempted to switch vehicles during the operation and tried to escape near Kalsoom Plaza in Blue Area. Reports suggest that both left D-Chowk in the same vehicle via Jinnah Avenue, but their final destination remains unclear. Bushra Bibi’s vehicle reportedly headed toward KP House, with Islamabad Police in pursuit.
Following the departure of the leadership, protesters also began retreating from Jinnah Avenue and Seventh Avenue, leaving their vehicles behind and heading toward residential areas.
Additionally, a new video claims that 15 PTI workers have been killed and dozens injured during the protest. Intense shelling and sniper fire forced protesters to retreat. The video also shows Ali Amin Gandapur attempting to switch vehicles to escape, but protesters stopped him and demanded that he remain until Imran Khan’s release.
In the midst of this, a worker named Mah Rukh approached Bushra Bibi’s vehicle and briefed her on the unfolding situation. Bushra Bibi, initially unaware of the events, sought further clarification and asked questions about the protesters. The situation remains tense, with growing unrest among the demonstrators.
