Islamabad:Details of PTI’s protest across Islamabad and other parts of the country:
• PTI convoys, led by KP Chief Minister and Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, entered Punjab’s territory as part of the ongoing protests.
• Police used heavy shelling at Ghazi Brotha Bridge, which led to clashes. Protesters responded by setting a greenbelt and a vehicle on fire.
• Convoys from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and KP have departed for Islamabad to join the protest.
• Protesters from Haripur reached Attock Bridge, where intense clashes with police left several officers injured.
Bushra Bibi’s Address to Protesters:
PTI leader Bushra Bibi addressed the participants, saying:
“We will not return without Imran Khan. All workers must stay in their vehicles and move forward quickly.”
Highlights of the Protest:
• PTI workers seized a police prison van at Burhan.
• A crackdown by Punjab police resulted in the arrest of approximately 500 PTI workers, including lawmakers.
• Rawalpindi has been turned into a container city, with 70 key locations sealed off.
• Intense clashes erupted at Faizabad between protesters and police.
• Educational institutions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been ordered closed due to the protests.
• Convoys from Sindh and Balochistan have joined the KP convoys en route to Islamabad.
Government Stance:
• Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari stated:
“The state will not surrender to anarchists. Strict legal action will be taken against those breaking the law.”
• Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal apologized to citizens, saying:
“Certain measures become unavoidable for national security.”

• Internet and WhatsApp services were disrupted nationwide.
• Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mian Aslam successfully reached D-Chowk despite heavy security.
