Successful Counterterrorism Operations
Security forces successfully neutralized seven terrorists and injured two others during four separate operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations, driven by intelligence reports, were aimed at dismantling terrorist networks threatening national security.
Operations in Balochistan
Three intelligence-based operations were conducted in Balochistan’s Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech districts. In Awaran, two high-profile terrorists, identified as Niaz alias Ghuman and Zareef alias Shah Jahan, were killed during intense clashes. Additionally, one terrorist was neutralized in Dera Bugti, while another was eliminated in Kech.
Operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Bannu, resulting in the elimination of three terrorists and injuries to two others. The individuals targeted were reportedly involved in attacks on security personnel and the targeted killings of civilians. Arms, ammunition, and explosives were seized during the operation.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the bravery and dedication of the security forces. The president reiterated the nation’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and expressed admiration for the courage displayed by the personnel involved.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until all threats are neutralized. He vowed to counter any malicious attempts to disrupt peace and security in the country, emphasizing the importance of unity in overcoming such challenges.
