Pakistan nad Qatar :During his official visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif talked about Pakistan as a good place to invest in a meeting with the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) delegation on Friday.
The prime minister paid an official two-day visit to Doha at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of Qatar, after securing $600 million in investment pledges during his trip to Saudi Arabia.
PM Shehbaz invited Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to a “very extensive and productive” meeting on Thursday, inviting investors to investigate Pakistan’s various economic sectors.
In addition, he met the Qatari emir and went to the “Manzar” art gallery, which featured works by Pakistani artists.
PM Shehbaz met with the QBA delegation today “to discuss deepening economic ties and exploring new avenues for collaboration,” according to a press release from the Press Information Department (PID).
The delegation, led by QBA Chairman Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, included prominent businesspeople from Qatar who each represented influential economic sectors.
According to the PID statement, the prime minister “highlighted the numerous opportunities in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and finance, presenting Pakistan as an attractive investment destination.”
The delegates also “expressed interest in Pakistan’s economic landscape and, in particular, in upcoming projects in energy, technology, and infrastructure development,” according to the document.
