ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: On Wednesday, the first shipment of tractors made in Pakistan arrived in Tanzania, marking a significant turning point in Tanzania’s trade with East Africa.
Masai Trekta Company Ltd., which recently opened its tractor distribution head office in Tanzania, has become a key partner in distributing Pakistani ATS tractors throughout Tanzania and may expand further across the region, according to an official announcement from the commerce ministry.
Pak-Tractors House, a well-known Lahore-based manufacturer, supplied the tractors for import.
Pakistan’s East African export portfolio is expected to be strengthened by the export of these tractors, opening the door to increased tractor exports to Tanzania and other nearby nations.
