GUJRAT: On Monday, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that in a record-breaking six months, ten projects worth Rs400 billion for farmers had been launched.
The distribution of Chief Minister Kisan Cards worth Rs150 billion marks a first in Punjabi history. On Monday, the chief minister was addressing the attendees of the Kissan Card distribution ceremony in Hafizabad.
She announced an increase from 0.5 million to 0.7 million Kisan Cards. She also said that farmers who grew wheat on 12 and a half to 25 acres would get a free laser leveler. She announced that farmers with more than 25 acres would receive free tractors. She said that farmers could rent agricultural machinery without making any money. She additionally reported expanding the quantity of Kisan Card hands to 3,000.
During the ceremony, the chief minister personally distributed Kisan cards to the farmers.
She stated, “The tendency is to increase agriculture and wheat cultivation in Punjab.” The farmer loses money on electricity costs. I have given each city the responsibility of growing vegetables. The PML-N did a lot for farmers, and people only made slogans about them. Because of “Nawaz Sharif’s government,” the stock exchange now has a 91,000 index. I want people to have access to cheap bread and flour, and farmers should also make money.
She told the farmer to have faith because she wouldn’t disappoint them. She claimed that people from other provinces are calling to inquire about the details of the Punjab government’s project.
“With the end of sedition, riots, sieges, arson, lawlessness, and inflation, I see rapid change in Punjab. The CM said, “Let me make a prediction that I see the politics of ‘Fitna’ (troublemaker) is going to end as inflation, lawlessness, and ‘Fitna’ are about to wither away,” adding that she had been evaluating the situation through the eyes of the masses.
We don’t have a magic wand, but our hearts and minds are dominated by our fear of Allah and our desire to serve the people. When I go to a school or hospital, I always see people smiling. Inflation has decreased since Nawaz Sharif’s administration took office. Solarization is being used to replace approximately 7,000 diesel and electric tubewells. She stated, “I immediately ask the administration and take prompt action in this regard if the price of flour rises.”
The CM stated that farmers should grow wheat and that it is her responsibility to make them money, adding that the prices of seeds, fertilizers, and other items are decreasing and that the government is reaching out to farmers for the first time.
She had previously asserted that the government was in fact purchasing wheat from middlemen rather than farmers.
“Nawaz Sharif asks me daily about the Kisan card and the tractor program because the Punjab government works night and day to change farmers’ plight,” I say. the CM stated.
Traditional regional Luddi was performed prior to the CM’s arrival at the ceremony, and a documentary about the CM’s farmer-friendly projects was also shown.
According to Saira Afzal Tarrar, a former federal minister, farmers can purchase seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides with a Kisan Card worth Rs150,000 at reduced prices.
