Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advocated for the use of artificial intelligence (AI). He also emphasized the significance of a knowledge-based economy that is driven by innovation in the fields of AI, education, and health and called for global collaboration and partnerships to address current issues.
The prime minister arrived in Riyadh earlier today to attend the Future Investment Initiative (FII), which lasts for two days. The FII, which is scheduled for the 29th and 30th of October, is a significant platform for nations to demonstrate their economic potential, attract investments from abroad, and discuss strategies for long-term growth.
This year’s FII, which is attended by world leaders, has the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow,” which focuses on global investments aimed at addressing major issues like artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space, finance, healthcare, and sustainability.
In order to highlight the strength of their respective economies and encourage investment and a sustainable future, the participating nations are set to have a conversation. On the first day, topics like sustainable development, artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space, public health, and other topics were discussed.
In his address to the plenary session, PM Shehbaz stated that Pakistan was laying the groundwork for a knowledge-based economy that would be driven by innovation in three crucial areas—healthcare, education, and artificial intelligence—with the hope of establishing beneficial partnerships.
“AI is not just a fad; It is a force that is changing industries, societies, and economies. He said, “At this critical juncture, Pakistan is not only embracing AI; we are committed to excelling in it.” He added that the government’s mission was clear: train skilled engineers and data scientists to serve as the country’s AI growth’s backbone, encourage young minds to redefine the boundaries of AI, and equip their workforce to harness the power of AI across industries.
The prime minister stated, along with Saudi Arabia and partners around the world who share his vision, that Pakistan saw AI as a neutral force for good.
In addition, the prime minister stated that AI’s potential could be unleashed not only to compete, but also to empower and empower people in agriculture, climate resilience, and the fight against misinformation.
“A solid educational foundation is fundamental to our goals in AI and beyond. We want to create a skilled, tech-savvy generation through educational reforms, vocational training, and digital literacy,” he added.
He stated that no nation could meet the challenges of today on its own, and no nation could realize the potential of tomorrow without the assistance of others.
Pakistan is prepared to join those who dare to imagine big things. The prime minister stated, “We invite you to invest and bring your expertise and creativity to Pakistan as we build a future rooted in resilience and shared prosperity.”
