Pakistani: The newly established research center at Hunan University of Medicine in China has been named after Pakistani Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary.
According to a press release, this center will house 17 full-time researchers who will work to improve scientific collaboration between China and Pakistan.
The Chinese national public medical university, which was established in 1912, has more than 14,425 full-time students and more than 4,500 faculty members. It offers approximately 20 undergraduate and graduate medical programs.
Dr. Choudhary has previously advocated for the establishment of research centers between China and Pakistan and the promotion of scientific collaboration between the two nations.
Additionally, he has been honored with a slew of honors, including civil honors such as the Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz. He received the Mustafa Prize in 2021 for his contributions to bioorganic chemistry.
He is the World Academy of Sciences’ vice president for Central and South Asia at the moment. He is also a research fellow at organizations like the Royal Society of Chemistry in London and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS).
According to the statement, the establishment of this facility is a significant step toward strengthening scientific research collaboration between China and Pakistan.
