ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: At the Mastercard Payment Leaders Awards, JazzCash, the fintech arm of Jazz, won the title of “Pioneering Telco to Launch Tap on Phone.”
This acknowledgment features JazzCash’s creative methodology, which is the first of its sort internationally, empowering more than 350,000 shippers and organizations to acknowledge installments from contactless cards or cell phones with a basic tap on a NFC-empowered Android gadget.
JazzCash wallets can tap any contactless device to make digital payments directly through its digital front-end partnership with Mastercard. JazzCash will also be able to present new use cases in the future as Mastercard introduces new solutions thanks to this acceptance partnership. J.K. Khalil, division president for East Arabia at Mastercard, introduced the honor to Aamir Ibrahim, the Chief of Jazz and executive of Mobilink Microfinance Bank.
