This was the outcome of the first-ever Pakistan-Oman Expo and Business Conference, which lasted for two days and ended on Thursday in Muscat. The event brought in millions of dollars worth of export orders for Pakistani businessmen.
According to an official announcement, export orders for home textiles, sports, rice, children’s clothing, leather goods, food, groceries, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and chemicals had been signed by Pakistani businesses.
The expo was the first of its kind because 64 Pakistani businesses from 10 different industries exhibited their goods for the first time in Oman under one roof. These industries included textiles, clothing, fashion apparel, agricultural products, surgical instruments, sports goods, pharmaceuticals, handicrafts, and hotel investment.
In excess of 1,000 businesspersons went to the exhibition. Both the private sector and the Omani government were pleased with Pakistani goods.
The announcement says that 172 business people from top Pakistani companies, including female entrepreneurs, attended the event.
Pakistan’s Representative to Oman Imran Ali offered thanks to the Oman government for working with the exhibition.
He stated that this forum opens a new chapter in Pakistan and Oman’s economic partnership. Making the business and exchange networks meet each other regularly ignites new open doors for exchange and speculation, he added.
