Police said on Saturday that an explosion of fireworks stored in a house in Multan’s Aghapura area led to a roof collapse that resulted in three deaths and numerous injuries.
“Three individuals kicked the bucket while three were harmed in a lamentable episode of a rooftop breakdown brought about by a blast coming about because of firecracker materials put away at a home in Aghapura [… ],” an assertion gave by Multan City Cop (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar said.
The harmed were moved to Nishtar Clinic for treatment, the assertion added. The departed were distinguished as Riaz, Mansha and Safia Bano, it added.
Alleviation exercises were completed by groups of Multan Police, Salvage 1122, Wrongdoing Record Office (CRO), bomb removal and different specialists at the spot, as per the assertion.

The CPO statement said that the incident was caused by fireworks being manufactured inside the house, citing the initial investigation. It also stated that additional investigations were underway.
According to the statement, CPO Multan conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and directed police officers to participate in the relief activities.
Multan Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Lieutenant General (retired) Kamran Amir Khan, Delhi Gate Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mazhar Haraj, DSP Mamoon Ali, and City Superintendent of Police (SP) Hasan Raza Khakhi were also present at the scene of the incident.
