LONDON: This week, Oxford University released a lengthy 38-name list of candidates for the prestigious chancellor position. The name of PTI founder Imran Khan, whose candidacy was the subject of intense debate in Pakistan and the UK during the application process, was notable for its absence.
UK-based PTI part Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari tweeted after the rundown was distributed, “Tragically Oxford College has prohibited Imran Khan’s name from the Oxford Chancellor Political decision. My legal counselors have kept in touch with the college requesting their reasons.”
