ISLAMABAD: In highly traditional industries like agriculture, experts in artificial intelligence (AI) have begun implementing novel strategies to boost output and shield produce from pest attacks and shifting weather patterns.
TenX Chief Executive Officer Qazafi Qayyum told the media that AI can help local IT companies grow in global markets and overcome business obstacles.
He went on to say that, “in contrast to a general impression that AI is only related to the defense sector or some advanced industries,” numerous revolutionary start-ups are using AI to help farmers increase their yields. He suggested that Pakistani IT firms should concentrate on exporting AI tools developed locally.
He emphasized that by combining data analytics, software engineering, and cloud services, businesses can use AI to drive innovation.
He claimed that export-based industries and banks alike benefited from AI tools developed locally.
Through data analytics, AI can support business expansion in telecommunications, financial services, government, manufacturing, and other sectors.
Mr. Qayyum gave the example of a Pakistani bank with over 700 branches. The bank’s ability to provide unified and relevant services was hindered by the dispersion of customer data that resulted from multiple mergers and acquisitions.
He suggested that Pakistani IT companies should use AI solutions to target global markets in order to boost exports and raise IT industry standards.
