TANGERANG: On Monday, a Pakistani taekwondo team with 16 members arrived in Indonesia to compete in the sixth Asian Open Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship in Tangerang.
At the Indore Stadium Sports Center, the event will begin on Tuesday and end on Friday. Over 275 athletes from India, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Nepal, and the host nation, Indonesia, will compete.
Haroon Khan, who weighs -58 kilograms, Numan Khan, who weighs -63 kilograms, Saud Alam, who weighs -63 kilograms, Mohammad Arbaz Khan, who weighs -68 kilograms, Mazhar Abbas, who weighs -80 kilograms, Ikhtsham-ul-Haq, who weighs -87 kilograms, and Hamza Omar Saeed, who weighs +87 kilograms, make up
The team is led by Lt Col Zeeshan Aslam, its head coach is master Yusuf Karami, its manager is Syed Sadaqat Hussain, and its physiotherapist is Faisal Nadeem Butt.
According to Hamza Saeed, who will compete in the event in the +87 kg weight class, a great deal of preparation has gone into the championship.
