In India, a family lost their newborn due to a nurse’s demand for money.
According to Indian media, this incident occurred in the town of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman named Sanjali gave birth to a son.
Reports indicate that the nurse, Jyoti Bhadoria, allegedly demanded a tip of 5,100 Indian rupees. When the family was unable to pay, the nurse left the newborn on the labor room table and refused to assist until the payment was made.
It was reported that the child’s father borrowed money from his brother to pay the nurse, but by that time, the newborn had been left on the table for 40 minutes, resulting in a deterioration of the child’s condition. The baby was then transferred to another hospital, where he unfortunately passed away.
Family members filed a complaint with the police regarding the inhumane behavior of the hospital and the nurse. In response, a medical team was formed, and the nurse was immediately dismissed from her position.
