Pakistani actress Hira Mani has declared the entertainment industry to be filled with lies.
Recently, she appeared as a guest on director and actor Jawad Bashir’s podcast, where she discussed her career, personal life, and family.
In response to a question, she stated that everything in showbiz is fake, emphasizing that lies are propagated and showcased for the sake of money.
She explained, “That’s our job; we earn money from this. If we don’t glamorize things and exaggerate them, we won’t capture people’s attention.”
When asked by the host if she feels suffocated in this false world, Hira replied, “I love the camera, and that’s why I get up every morning to go to work. The camera loves me too, which is why I’ve found success.”
Hira also mentioned, “Other actresses don’t consider me a friend, which is why no one invites me to their weddings.”
She added that sometimes she feels envious watching films like “Mola Jatt,” thinking she could play a similar role. However, when she looks at her children at home, she forgets everything and realizes that this is her life.
“I think about how I am their only mother, and no one can replace me. This keeps me from feeling envious, and I remain content with what I have in life,” she said.
During the interview, she described life as the greatest teacher, saying it teaches us everything. Hira admitted that life has given her what she always wanted. Compared to her past, she has become more patient and now thinks of others rather than herself.
