An Israeli commander who participated in the Six-Day War between Israel and Egypt in 1967 has passed away at the age of 99.
On June 5, 1967, Israel launched a surprise attack on Egyptian territory, and the war lasted for six days until June 10, 1967.
According to Israeli media, Yeshayahu Gavish, the last surviving commander from the 1967 war, died today, Thursday. He retired from the Israeli army in 1970.
