The remaining four players of the national cricket team have passed their fitness tests, while eight players previously tested failed to meet the requirements.
Details indicate that Sarfaraz Ahmed, Nauman Ali, Zahid Mahmood, and Saud Shakeel underwent their fitness tests during a training session in Multan, and all of them successfully passed.
The players completed the required 2-kilometer run within the specified time, and Mohammad Rizwan also cleared the overall fitness assessment.
To boost morale, other teammates ran alongside those taking the test. It’s anticipated that players who participated in the Champions Cup final will undergo their fitness tests soon, as central contracts will only be awarded to those who pass the assessments.
Just three days ago, a fitness test was conducted again for eight out of twelve national team players at the National Cricket Academy, but all those retesting failed to meet the fitness criteria.
The players who were tested included Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Mir Hamza, Nauman Ali, among others. Those retesting were unable to meet the 80% target, struggling to complete the 2-kilometer run within eight minutes.
