Polio is Rapidly Spreading: 2 New Cases Reported
A child from the Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been confirmed to be affected by polio, according to the National Institute of Health.
The report indicates that a girl from the Zhob district in Balochistan has also been disabled by polio. This brings the total number of polio cases in the country this year to 28, with 3 cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 16 in Balochistan.
Ayesha Raza Farooq, the focal person for polio eradication, expressed concern over the rising number of cases, stating that more attention must be given to polio vaccination campaigns in affected districts. She urged parents to ensure that children under five receive their polio vaccination drops without fail.
