Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a one-on-one meeting with Malaysia’s Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim. They agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across various sectors.
During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House, the two leaders engaged in detailed discussions on bilateral, regional, and global issues. They talked about the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah and emphasized the need to make bilateral cooperation more effective across different fields.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Anwar Ibrahim on Malaysia assuming the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025. The Malaysian Prime Minister appreciated Pakistan’s continuous partnership as a sectoral dialogue partner within ASEAN and expressed support for Pakistan’s growing role in the organization.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening decades-long bilateral relations and stressed the importance of promoting dialogue and exchanges of delegations at various levels.
