Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran does not seek war or bloodshed, and that escalating tensions in the region is not in the interests of the U.S. and Europe.
In a conversation with journalists in Doha, the Iranian president warned that if Israel attempts a retaliatory action, Iran’s response will be stronger and more powerful.
He emphasized that Iran desires peace and stability in the region, not conflict. Pezeshkian noted that Israel initiated the escalation by assassinating a respected Iranian guest, and that Israel aims to widen the scope of tensions in the region. He urged European countries and the U.S. to intervene and stop Israel’s increasing crimes.
It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, Iran launched an attack on Israel with approximately 400 missiles, a response to the assassination of Palestinian resistance leader Ismail Haniyeh and Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.
