In September, the trade deficit was recorded at 1.78 billion dollars, reflecting a 2% increase.
According to the statistics agency, there was a 2.2% rise in both imports and exports during September, while the trade deficit for the first quarter increased by 4%, reaching 5.4 billion dollars.
The statistics agency reported that from July to September of the current fiscal year, the trade deficit stood at 5.44 billion dollars, showing a 4.24% increase compared to the previous period.
It noted that from July to September, exports increased by 14.11%, while imports rose by 9.86%. During this period, exports totaled 7.87 billion dollars.
The agency also stated that imports during July to September were recorded at 13.31 billion dollars.
