At the 9th Hum Awards held in London, actress Mawra Hocane and actor Hamza Sohail took home the titles of Best Actress and Best Actor for 2023, respectively. The event was a grand celebration, showcasing stunning performances from various stars of the entertainment industry.
The ceremony kicked off on September 28 at 8 PM local time, honoring the talented actors, directors, and writers of dramas aired on the Hum TV network. Alongside Mawra and Hamza, Yumna Zaidi was recognized as the Best Actress of 2022, while Shahid Shafaat received the award for Best Director. Saifi Hassan was also honored as the Best Director of 2022.
Additionally, the duo of Ahad Raza Mir and Ramsha Khan was awarded Best On-Screen Couple for 2022. Jibran Nasir was recognized for his roles as the Negative Actor for both 2022 and 2023, while Saniya Saeed received the Impactful Award.
Senior actor Asif Raza Mir was celebrated with the Best Supporting Actor award for both years, and Mamia Shajaffar emerged victorious as Best Debut Actress. Sahir Baga was awarded for Best Original Soundtrack.
Samiha Mumtaz took home the Best Supporting Actress award, while Mustafa Afridi was acknowledged as the Best Drama Writer. The Long-Running Serial award went to *Freib*, and *Fairy Tale* was recognized for Best Performing Soap.
The event also featured remarkable performances from actors including Kubra Khan, Mahira Khan, Hania Amir, and Farhan Saeed, adding to the glamour and excitement of the evening.
