Peshawar: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has declared a revolution, stating that there is no path forward except for it. He emphasized, “Now, a bullet will be met with a bullet, a shell with a shell, and a stick with a stick.”
In a late-night video message following protests in Rawalpindi, the Chief Minister expressed his outrage over what he termed as oppression against them. He lamented that their dignity and privacy had been violated, yet they did not complain for the sake of the country. He recounted that during the protests, they faced gunfire, shells, and beatings.
Gandapur stated that Punjab police fired shells and bullets every three kilometers, resulting in three of their workers being shot and over 50 others injured from shelling. He mentioned that despite being targeted, they managed to rescue their comrades from the clutches of the Punjab police.
He issued a final message for reform, urging institutions to step aside if they cannot respect the voice of the people or their opinions. “Let the public decide; let political decisions be made by political figures. Do not intervene,” he said.
The Chief Minister concluded by warning that anyone who attempts to suppress them will face consequences, asserting that for every shell and stick thrown at them, they would respond with tenfold force.
