Paris: Indian javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra, who secured the silver medal in the Paris Olympics, has admitted his defeat to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem.
Chopra revealed that his first two throws were good, but he fouled, which frustrated him and made him lose focus.
He stated, “Had I managed to control my emotions and aggression in the crucial round of the Paris Olympics, I could have won the gold medal. But I gave my best, and it was Arshad Nadeem’s day. There are still areas I need to improve.”
It is worth noting that Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem made history at the Paris Olympics with a throw of 92.97 meters, not only setting a world record but also earning Pakistan its sole gold medal in the event.
Chopra finished in second place with a throw of 89.45 meters, securing the silver medal.
