Karachi: Bushra Iqbal, the former wife of late TV anchor Aamir Liaquat, has announced that she is personally fighting a legal case to seek justice for her ex-husband.
In a social media post, Bushra Iqbal stated that she is representing Aamir in the case related to the leaked inappropriate videos. “I am fighting this case as his lawyer, relying on Allah, the ultimate guardian,” she wrote. “Your prayers give me strength and courage. Please keep me and the children in your special prayers.”
Bushra emphasized that those who build their desires at the cost of someone’s dignity should face consequences. “Money isn’t everything. It should be earned with respect and shouldn’t compromise relationships and bonds,” she added.
While detailing the case currently under trial, Bushra mentioned that on September 26, the Judicial Magistrate East Karachi heard arguments from the lawyers of the accused, Danya Malik and Yasir Shami. The court has reserved its decision and scheduled the verdict for October 10. She expressed hope that the application would be rejected and that a formal trial would proceed, allowing the allegations against the accused to be proven through evidence and witnesses, thus ensuring justice for Aamir Liaquat. “This journey from being accused to being called guilty will soon reach its conclusion,” she concluded.
