Washington: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has sharply criticized the Biden administration and its candidate, Kamala Harris, as he campaigns for the upcoming election.
In remarks to reporters, the former president stated that the events of the past four years are unprecedented in American history. He declared that the United States is currently facing the worst border crisis in its history, which has resulted in countless challenges, suffering, and deaths on American soil.
Trump blamed this crisis on his political rival, Kamala Harris. His comments came as Harris was visiting the U.S.-Mexico border. He questioned, “Why are you visiting the border now? Why didn’t you do this four years ago? It’s because you have no plan, no skills, and no capability to address this issue.”
The former president further asserted, “I am here to present the facts on how Kamala Harris has intentionally contributed to the destruction of our country; our nation has never been under such siege.”
Trump praised his own administration, claiming that Harris inherited the most secure border in U.S. history, marked by significantly low illegal immigration rates. He noted that anyone who violated U.S. borders during his tenure was apprehended, detained, and swiftly sent back home.
He accused Harris of undermining these efforts, stating that she issued orders to dismantle every policy that secured the border and halted the completion of the border wall, which was nearly finished at that time.
