New York: Following Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s address at the United Nations General Assembly, a significant protest occurred as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu took the stage, prompting Pakistan and several other nations to walk out in protest.
After concluding his speech, Prime Minister Sharif returned to his designated seat just as Netanyahu was invited to speak. In response, the Pakistani delegation, alongside other countries supporting Palestine, stood up and left the assembly in protest.
This walkout was part of a broader expression of condemnation against the ongoing brutality in Palestine, as world leaders have consistently called for an immediate halt to Israeli aggression during the ongoing 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
As Netanyahu approached the podium, representatives from Pakistan and other nations voiced their dissent, marking their protest against the ongoing situation in Palestine at the UN.
