Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to meet Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Media reports indicate that the two officials will meet during the final match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place next month in the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, reports have revealed that the PCB is awaiting final approval of the schedule for the Champions Trophy to confirm logistical arrangements.
In a recent meeting with ICC officials, the PCB emphasized the need to finalize the schedule as soon as possible to ensure the event’s preparations.
A formal announcement regarding the schedule is anticipated from the ICC by the end of October.
It is worth noting that since 2008, the Indian team has not traveled to Pakistan, often making excuses to avoid various events. The last bilateral series between the two teams took place in 2012-13.
On the other hand, while Pakistan recently traveled to India for the 2023 World Cup, it is important to highlight that Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy. The BCCI is refusing to send its team, which has delayed the event’s schedule from being made public.
