Samin Rana, CEO of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion team Lahore Qalandars, has expressed his views on the adjustments to the 10th edition of the league due to the upcoming Champions Trophy.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Rana stated that for the first time, the PSL will not take place within its usual time frame because of the Champions Trophy, and there is a possibility that the dates will be pushed back. However, he expressed joy that the ICC event is returning to Pakistan.
He mentioned, “We are hopeful for the success of the event. After a long time, fans will get to see their favorite players from various teams in action on home ground.”
Rana noted that the 10th edition of the PSL will clash with the IPL for the first time, but efforts are being made to ensure the participation of major players who are not part of the IPL.
Additionally, he highlighted that direct player contracts for the PSL will ensure that all matches are played in Pakistan.
Earlier, a few months ago, there were discussions about hosting the playoffs of PSL 10 in England, but that proposal has since evolved.
