New York: Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar stated that after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address at the United Nations General Assembly, the Palestinian President came to express his gratitude. He emphasized that no one raised the issue of Palestine more forcefully than Pakistan.
In a special interview with an Express News correspondent in New York, Tarar expressed pride as a Muslim and Pakistani in the Prime Minister’s speech. He noted that Shehbaz Sharif labeled the countries facilitating Israeli oppression as accomplices.
He remarked that the Prime Minister robustly advocated for Palestine on the global stage, highlighting that when Arab delegations heard the Quranic verse from the Prime Minister’s lips, they acknowledged that those remaining silent about the atrocities in Palestine were indeed accomplices.
Further addressing the situation, Tarar reiterated Prime Minister Shehbaz’s message regarding the urgency of stopping the violence in Gaza, stating that mere condemnation is insufficient.
Tarar emphasized that the Prime Minister voiced his heartfelt concerns about Palestine and Islamophobia before the world. He recounted how Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas grasped the Prime Minister’s arm and said, “Shehbaz Sharif, my brother, you have greatly helped us and raised our voices.”
The Information Minister declared that the entire hall bore witness that no one has raised their voice for Palestine more than Pakistan. He also asserted that the Prime Minister made it clear to the global powers that Pakistan would respond decisively if India engages in aggression.
