Tehran: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the recent killings of high-ranking commanders in Israeli attacks will not weaken Hezbollah, asserting that the group cannot be brought to its knees.
In a meeting with military officials and veterans of the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), Ayatollah Khamenei acknowledged the loss of several key and valued members of Hezbollah, noting that while such losses are certainly damaging, they will not incapacitate the organization. He emphasized that Hezbollah’s organizational strength and the resilience of its fighters far exceed the impact of these losses, declaring that their authority, capability, and power remain undiminished.
Khamenei remarked that Hezbollah has been steadfast in its defense of Gaza since the onset of the current conflict. He expressed confidence that victory lies in the destiny of both the Palestinian resistance movement and Hezbollah, stating that the ultimate triumph in this war will belong to them.
Tensions along the Lebanon-Israel border have escalated since the onset of Israel’s brutal campaign in Gaza, initiated on October 7 in response to Hamas. Over the past week, clashes have intensified dramatically, with attacks on Hezbollah’s communication systems leading to the deaths of 39 individuals and injuries to over 3,000.
