The founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Imran Khan, along with his wife Bushra Bibi, will face indictment in the Tosha Khana 2 case on October 2.
The hearing for the Tosha Khana 2 case took place in Adiala Jail, presided over by Special Judge Central, Shah Rukh Arjumand. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented in the special court established within Adiala Jail, where their attorney, Salman Safdar, represented them.
The legal counsel for both defendants completed their arguments regarding the bail application. The lawyers from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) are set to commence their arguments on the bail request starting Saturday.
The date for the indictment of the defendants has been officially set for October 2.
It is noteworthy that on July 13, shortly after receiving bail in a marriage-related case, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Imran Khan and his wife in a new reference linked to the Tosha Khana case.
According to the NAB inquiry report, the Tosha Khana 2 case pertains to the unlawful possession and sale of ten valuable gifts, including seven watches.
However, following a Supreme Court ruling regarding NAB amendments, the accountability court transferred the Tosha Khana 2 reference against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi from NAB to the FIA.
To investigate the Tosha Khana 2 case, the FIA has constituted a three-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
