Washington: Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic trajectory, stating that it is heading in the right direction.
In a recent statement, Georgieva congratulated the government and the people of Pakistan on the approval of the loan program. She emphasized that the Pakistani government is taking steps to tax the wealthy while providing assistance to the less fortunate.
Georgieva further noted that the Pakistani economy is indeed on the right path, with the government actively collecting taxes from the rich to aid the poor. She highlighted that economic growth is increasing and inflation is declining. The reforms implemented by Pakistan have contributed to this positive shift in the economy.
