WASHINGTON: The United States has advised its citizens in Lebanon to leave the country immediately.
According to American media reports, White House National Security spokesman John Kirby stated that U.S. citizens should depart Lebanon while flights are still available. He emphasized that the U.S. is making every effort to ensure the safe exit of Americans, providing all possible assistance, including commercial flights.
Kirby expressed concern for Americans stranded in Lebanon and noted that they are in continuous contact with their Israeli counterparts regarding the situation.
It is worth mentioning that Lebanon has been under heavy bombardment, resulting in nearly 600 fatalities and over 1,600 injuries. In light of the escalating violence, the United Kingdom and other Western nations have also advised their citizens to leave Lebanon due to potential Israeli airstrikes and retaliatory rocket attacks from Hezbollah.
