Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Israel is now spreading its war beyond Gaza to other countries.
According to Arab media reports, President Erdogan emphasized the need to pressure Israel for a ceasefire during a news conference.
He noted that it has been a year since the Israeli aggression in Gaza began, and now the conflict is extending to Lebanon, putting peace in the entire region at risk.
The Turkish president urged Western nations to prevent Israel from expanding its aggressive warfare and called on any country or organization that seeks peace in the world to step forward and play a role in stopping Israel’s aggression.
Erdogan also called on the United Nations to take action, stating that humanitarian efforts for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza should be accelerated.
It is noteworthy that last week, attacks with projectiles and walkie-talkies across Lebanon resulted in 37 deaths and over 3,000 injuries. Following this, Hezbollah fired hundreds of rockets into Israel from the Lebanese border.
