Mumbai: Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan’s blockbuster film “The Legend of Maula Jatt” is facing objections from Raj Thackeray, who tweeted that he would not allow the film to be released in Maharashtra.
Delhi-based theater and film actor Imran Zahid, who is actively involved in efforts to restore cultural relations between Pakistan and India, expressed surprise at these threats.
In an interview, he stated that the film’s Indian distributors (Zee Studios) have made it clear that it will only be released in Punjab, questioning the purpose of such threats.
Imran Zahid believes that these threats and pressure tactics are distancing us from peace, emphasizing that art and culture should always take precedence over politics.
He remarked on the message the world receives when we deprive ourselves of a magnificent film like “Maula Jatt.”
