Lahore: The Pakistan women’s cricket team, under the leadership of captain Fatima Sana, has arrived in Dubai for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The team will take a rest today.
Before the World Cup, the Pakistani team will play two warm-up matches, with the first match scheduled against Scotland on September 28 and the second against Bangladesh on September 30.
The Pakistan women’s cricket team will kick off their World Cup campaign on October 3, Thursday, against Sri Lanka. They will face their traditional rival, India, in their second match on Sunday, October 6.
The national team’s third match is set for Friday, October 11, against Australia, followed by their fourth match on Monday, October 14, against New Zealand.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his best wishes for the women’s cricket team, stating that the players are talented and skilled. He hopes the team performs well in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Before departing, captain Fatima Sana expressed confidence, saying they would play good cricket, the players’ morale is high, and they will showcase their full potential in the ICC T20 World Cup.
