Rising Terror Attacks in Balochistan
The incident comes amid a surge in terrorist activity in Pakistan, with a sharp rise in attacks reported in August. The Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) recorded 59 attacks nationwide in August, compared to 38 the previous month.
In late August, militants affiliated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) launched a series of violent attacks across the province, killing at least 50 people, including 14 security personnel. In response, security forces neutralized 21 militants.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir vowed to continue the fight against terrorism, highlighting the significant sacrifices made by security forces, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
