QUETTA: The deputy commissioner has released a list of 137 individuals recently placed on the Fourth Schedule under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The notification issued on Tuesday identifies a diverse group including political activists, student leaders, writers, and government employees. They have been included on the list due to alleged connections with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Specifically, three individuals are cited for links with TTP, while 134 are linked to the BLA.
The list was finalized following a meeting chaired by Quetta Deputy Commissioner Saad Bin Asad on July 23, attended by district intelligence and coordination committee members. The government had planned to add 300 individuals to the Fourth Schedule, with this latest list including names such as Balaach Qadir Baloch, Samand Baloch, and Shakoor Baloch from the Baloch Students Organisation, as well as Bohir Saleh, head of a BSO faction affiliated with the National Party.
Balaach Qadir Baloch confirmed his inclusion on the list along with two other BSO officers. He stated that although they were instructed to report to the Counter Terrorism Department, they had not complied.
