ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reiterating the nation’s determination to eradicate terrorism with renewed commitment.
In separate but similar statements, both leaders denounced the violent incidents that resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including civilians and security personnel.
President Zardari, known for his firm stance against terrorism, condemned the attacks, labeling the perpetrators as “enemies of humanity.” He reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to continue the fight against terrorism, stating, “The killing of innocent people is tantamount to killing all of humanity.” He expressed solidarity with the brave security forces and law enforcement agencies, emphasizing that, with the support of the entire nation, terrorism would be eradicated from the country.
The president and the prime minister expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the Musakhel attack, calling for the perpetrators to be brought to justice. They prayed for the departed souls and strength for the bereaved families to bear the loss.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed law enforcement agencies to conduct an immediate investigation into the incident and instructed authorities to assist the victims’ families and provide urgent medical care to the injured. “The perpetrators of this attack will receive exemplary punishment. No form of terrorism is acceptable in the country. Our fight against terrorism will continue until it is completely eradicated,” he stated.
President Zardari also condemned the terrorist incidents in Razmak Bazaar, North Waziristan, and Kalat, expressing sorrow over the martyrdom of security personnel during clearance operations in Balochistan. He praised the bravery and spirit of those who sacrificed their lives in these incidents, praying for their ranks in Jannah and for strength for their families.
Prime Minister Shehbaz echoed the president’s sentiments, vowing to bring the attackers to justice. “The nation will never forget the sacrifices of our police and security forces. Such cowardly attacks cannot undermine our morale,” he said. He reassured that the entire nation stood with its security forces in the war against terrorism and that the terrorists’ attempts to disrupt peace would not succeed.
The prime minister also condemned the terrorist attack in Kalat that claimed the lives of police and Levies personnel, expressing grief over their martyrdom and praying for the injured. He paid tribute to the security forces for their timely actions that thwarted the terrorists’ plans and emphasized that the nation remained resolute in its fight against terrorism.
Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail also condemned the killing of travelers in Musakhel, expressing deep sorrow and directing law enforcement agencies to arrest those responsible and bring them to justice. He extended his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls to attain high ranks in Jannah.
