HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police have confirmed that a 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex on Houston’s south side Friday afternoon.
According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred around 1:25 p.m. at 4001 Corder St., near Scott Street.
HPD reported that the teenager was fatally shot, and a 19-year-old man was injured and taken to the hospital. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived. A woman, whose age has not been disclosed, was detained, but her involvement in the incident remains unclear.
Earlier, police informed that a 911 caller reported hearing multiple gunshots.
